Make your very own Trick-or-Treat Origami Candy Box / Holder this Halloween! This origami candy box is great for storing little candies or treats for your trick-or-treaters this year. But they can really be used as party favors, or decoration, for any time of the year. :-) The DIY paper box requires 2 sheets of square paper. I used 6" squares. The bottom is a traditional origami box, and the lid is almost identical, but with a slight twist at the end.

I realize that most people associate the term "origami" with paper folding, but I tend to use this term more loosely than most. I mean, you can really fold anything: Paper, napkins, copper sheets...! Right? :-) Lately, I've been experimenting with napkin folding as well and have created a whole series of napkin models for you to learn! Eventually, I'll do some tutorials on towel folding, too, but that might not be for a while. There's just not enough time in a day!
So yeah, back to the actual tutorial: Are you hosting a party or luncheon this summer? Forget those boring square napkins. Fold a Bishop Miter/Hat, instead! I've seen restaurants fold their napkins in the same way. And after you're done learning the Bishop Miter, might I suggest you check out the tutorial below, as well? My favorite napkin folding model is the "Bird of Paradise." It looks like a stegosaurus, bird, and waterfall all at once. Very elegant. :-)
